Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) has spent decades turning grassroots passion into a national movement for cleaner seas and thriving coastlines.
Bee Lite partnered with them to reimagine their interactive campaign map and make it an engine for action.
The original map had filtering and performance issues that made it harder for supporters to find nearby events. Combining city and date searches could also cause conflicts.
We reworked the location logic so campaigns within a 20-mile radius showed up precisely where they should. We also improved city and date filters and introduced caching and lazy loading.
The result is a map that helps people discover, connect with, and take part in campaigns more easily.
The new platform reflects what SAS stands for: empowerment, accessibility, and community.
