Plastic Changemakers is an ambitious global education programme designed to empower children to understand plastic pollution and become agents of change. But the original website no longer matched the scale or clarity of that mission.
Bee Lite partnered with the Breteau Foundation to rebuild the platform from the ground up — making it intuitive, accessible, and truly educator-friendly.
The challenge was clarity. Educators needed to find lesson plans, downloadable packs, and multimedia content quickly, without friction. We restructured the site's information architecture so key resources are front and centre, supported by clear calls-to-action like Access Resources, Download Pack, and Stream Episode.
The redesigned site supports free, ready-to-use educational materials, including a full five-module education pack and integrated video content. Built to be adaptable across countries and curricula, the platform supports teachers worldwide with minimal barriers to entry.
Since relaunch, tens of thousands of educators have registered, helping the programme work toward its goal of reaching over one million children globally. The website now acts as a true extension of the mission, removing friction so learning, engagement, and action can flourish.
